We started in 2004 as a dental college providing solely BDS courses. After 8 successful years, we ventured into the arena of post-graduation and have since been offering the MDS course in eight subjects as well. With 100 seats per year in BDS & 28 seats in MDS. The dental college also has a clinical skills laboratory that closely simulates the real clinical experience and is an invaluable learning facility, helping new students prepare for patient care work.

The college is running the undergraduate dental training programme leading to BDS degree course, recognized by Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India and it shall be of 5 years with 240 teaching days in each academic year up to 4 years and 1 year Compulsory rotatory paid internship.

BACHELOR OF DENTAL SURGERY (BDS)

The college is running the undergraduate dental training programme leading to BDS degree course, recognized by Ministry of health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India, shall be of 5 years with 240 teaching days in each academic year up to 4 year and 1 year Compulsory rotatory paid internship.

First Academic Year

  • General Human Physiology and Biochemistry, Nutrition and Dietic.
  • Dental Anatomy, Embryology and Oral Histolog.

Second Academic Year

  • General Pathology and Microbiology.
  • General and Dental Pharmacology & Therapeutics.
  • Dental Materials.
  • Pre clinical Prosthodontics and crown & Bridge.
  • Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology.
  • Pre Clinical Conservative.

Third Academic Year

  • General Medicine.
  • General Surgery.
  • Oral Pathology & Oral Microbiology.
  • Conservative Dentistry & and Endodontics.
  • Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • Oral Medicine & Radiology.
  • Orthodontics & Dentofacial Orthopaedics.

Fourth Academic Year

Fifth Academic Year

  • 1 Year Internship.

NOTE :

  • The student shall be allowed to appear in the BDS University examinations on the following basis.
  • The student must have 75% attendance individually in Theory and Practical Clinics in each year.
  • In the case of a subject in which there is no examination at the end of the academic year, the attendance shall not be less than 70%. However, at the time of appearing for the professional examination in the subject, the aggregate percentage of attendance in the subject should satisfy the above-mentioned criteria.
  • Any student, who does not clear the first BDS University Examination in all subjects within 3 years from the date of admission, shall be debarred from the Course.
  • Any candidate who fails in one subject in an examination is permitted to go to the next higher class and to appear for the subject and complete it successfully before he/she is permitted for the next higher examination.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Admission Process off Bachelor Of Dental Surgery (BDS).

Eligibility

Admissions to BDS Course at Shree Bankey Bihari Dental College will be made through NEET or as per the guidelines of Honorable Supreme Court/Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Govt. of India / Dental Council of India.
*Criteria for admission can be changed as per the guidelines of Honorable Supreme Court / Dental Council of India.

Course Duration

4 Years + 1 Year Compulsory Rotatory Paid Internship.
The following eligibility criteria is laid down for admission to the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course at SBBDC for Dental Studies and Research, Ghaziabad, Uttar-Pradesh.

Age

The candidate should be 17 years old on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Qualification

The candidate should have passed 10+2 examination from any recognised board. Candidate must pass in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually The candidate should have scored a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For S.T./ S.C./ O.B.C category this limit is relaxed to 40%. For Physically Challenged the limit is relaxed to 45%.

The candidate should qualify NEET BDS as per the guidelines of Honorable Supreme Court of India.

Documents Required:

At the time of admission to BDS Course the candidate will have to produce following documents in original:

  • 10th Passing Certificate.
  • 12th Mark sheet & Passing Certificate.
  • Migration Certificate.
  • Character Certificate.
  • Caste /Minority Certificate (for reserved category).
  • ID proof of student.
  • 5 Passport Size Colour Photographs.
  • Allotment Letter From DGME.
  • NEET Result.
